Hello Folks! Well, we have all gathered here for one thing! To know about the Indews History
Indews Was born when the Site Webmaster, (In de use, Old Name) Stilgar (New Name) started a webpage on tripod in the good ol' days
Our first site was actually based on Twinkies, and this is exactly how the site was born! From twinkies. After the twinkes(which in itself has a long story), the site expanded to cover Stilgar's favorite game, Civilization 3!
The civilization 3 site was quite successfull, and the odds are you will still come across the site!(It is still alive, ofcourse we will not give its address, but you can find it quite easily).
From there on I expanded to include Command & Conquer Generals. Within one day of going alive the site recieved over 800 Uniques to 1000 Uniques a day! Ofcouse thanks to CNCDen, which introduced us to the community! Of course, after a week later we were dropped from search engine, as we weren't on the main site of CNCDen anymore. But we were back two weeks later with the same strong showing. Thus after the success of Command & Conquer Generals was that this Indews Gaming Network (Now Indews Network or soon to be Indews Entertainment Network) was born.
The name itself has quite a history actually. It reality this name in the beginning was supposed to be a India News Related site. As you can see India + News = Indews. At our first try, It wasn't INDEWS, I made up but it was actually In de use! But after a later time i moved to indews, which I feld had a stronger appeal.
To simply give you a rough draft on Indews Time Line:
Indews (Not indews.com) but the legacy of indews was started some time in the year early 2001! After Indews.com, was registered it wasn't the main site until October 2003.It was only after 2003 did the Indews.com main page was used. Before that indews.com was simply redirected to cnc.indews.com
The first indews.com site was actually indiamil.indews.com, but we are not going to dwell on it. The second site was civ3.indews.com, followed by cnc.indews.com, then by ron.indews.com, and finally indews.com mainpage itself being constructed!
Indews Network also had a sister site called Ryzone Network, although short lived the site balanced the heavy downloads that we were offering. I later realized that by dividing up the downloads and our content I was actualy hurting the site instead of helping it. I scrapped Ryzone some time in June, and Indews.com was the sole site offering content such as forums, downloads, cheats, and various gaming content!
The site indews.com always recieved a steady of over 1000 unique visitors. We have to understand that we are talking about indews.com only and not hosted sites such as cnc.indews.com, or ron.indews.com which also bring over 1000 unique visitors.
As we move on, we have decided to add new content including exclusive cheats, downloads, games, and movies category. We are also adding more categories and especially content that will enrich our site!
We will also try to bring in more information for you guys in the future!
