Halo 2 is one of the most anticipated game, Halo 2 is the sequel to Halo - the best-selling Xbox game to date. In Halo 2 Master Chief and Cortana will be returning as will the evil Covenant, and that Master Chief will be called on to save the greatest prize in the Human colonies - Earth itself.
What kind of game is Halo 2 ?
Halo 2 is a story-driven action game featuring multiple weapons, vehicles and scenarios - as well as a robust multiplayer component. What systems will Halo 2 be available for?
Halo 2 is being made for the Xbox only at this time.
When does the game come out?
Halo 2 will be released in the U.S. and Europe on November 9th, 2004. Halo 2 should be available very soon after in other markets but exact dates are TBD.
I heard there were more than one version of the game coming out? What's up?
Halo 2 will come in two flavors - the regular green plastic case you all know and love, and the new extra special collector's edition.
Will Halo 2 have a subtitle, like "Combat Evolved?"
No subtitle has been announced at this time.

Will Halo 2 support Xbox Live?
Yes, Halo 2 will support all major features of Xbox Live

Will I be able to play my favorite Halo levels, like Blood Gulch, in Halo 2?
The single player campaign and multiplayer levels have yet to be revealed.
Will the game support HDTV resolutions like 720p or 1080i?
Halo 2 will run in 480p resolution when connected to an HDTV.

What is the plot of Halo 2?
Covenant forces will attack Earth, and Master Chief will take the battle to the Covenant. As with the first Halo, there will be a few new twists

What's new in Halo 2?
Halo 2 will offer new vehicles, destructible environments, new weapons, online play, improved AI
Halo 2 is still a game in development and all of the information included herein is subject to change before the final release.

All of Halo multiplayer modes are scheduled to return including Oddball, Race, Slayer, CTF, etc..

Which characters will be returning in Halo 2?
Naturally the Chief will take center stage again in his efforts to save mankind from the Covenant threat.

What about the Music in Halo 2?
The same team responsible for Halo's award winning music and sound design are working busily on Halo 2. We can safely say Halo 2' audio will definitely kick arse.

What new weapons will be available in Halo 2?
The Battle Rifle is an evolved version of the original assault rifle and features increased accuracy, a scope, and a slower rate of fire. The SMG (Sub Machine Gun) is a rapid-fire gun that trades a high volume of bullets for decreased accuracy. We have also discussed the Covenant Carbine - an energy based sniper weapon. Also, as you now know, players will be able to wield the almightly Covenant energy sword.

Will the Halo 2 environments be interactive?
Yes! This time around, the worlds of Halo 2 will feature destructible objects to add to the realism and strategy.

Will the Artificial Intelligence be improved over Halo?
Absolutely. The enemies in Halo were no slouches but this time around expect your opponents to be more cunning and tactical in their attempts to annihilate you.

What graphical improvements are being made over the original Halo?
Besides a pumped up bump-mapping system, Halo 2 will really shine due to the inclusion of a new advanced real-time lighting engine.

We can say that our goal is make sure that Halo 2 looks better than Halo in every way!

What is the Alpha test?
The Alpha test took place earlier this year and was a Microsoft internal-only networking test.

Will there ever be a Halo 2 beta test?
Halo 2 will certainly undergo plenty of testing between now and release but there are noplans at all for any public beta testing.

Will Halo 2 support stats and clans on Xbox Live and Bungie.net?
Yes, Halo 2 is going to have clan and stat functionality over Xbox Live with a tie-in to Bungie.net. We're not ready to say anything more than that at the moment so you'll have to stay tuned.
