Any I came across this while searching the web for cheap laptops, and voila my news posting about Balance Laptop is there.
Anyway, I wanted to share this those of you college folks who are about to go to college and might be thinking of getting a a cheap laptop.
Balance laptop has a low-cost computer features complete operating system and Microsoft file-compatible office suite. Below are its specifications:
Hardware specifications:
* 1.0 GHz processor
* 128 MB RAM, expandable up to 512 MB with included SODIMM slot
* 14.1'' LCD screen
Included software:
* Linspire 4.5 operating system
* OpenOffice.org - full-featured Microsoft file-compatible office suite with word processor, spreadsheet, and presentation programs
* Internet suite including email with spam blockers, Internet browser, and built-in firewall
* More than 1,900 free software programs for download, with guaranteed software updates for 3 months
The $498 Balance notebook with Linspire is being sold by Walmart. So, I think if you guys are looking for a cheap laptop this balance laptop should do the trick.
